Why should we support RECYCLING?

Deforestation is a major issue today.
This is because man is using natural resources to fulfill his needs.
The increase of these demands has led to increasing levels of destruction of our natural resources.
These resources being limited, a day would probably arrive when we don’t really have anything to turn towards.
Think about all the trees that are being axed in the forests today.
Your habits of wasting paper could be one of the million reasons that contribute towards such problems.

Practicing the concept of recycling will benefit us in our everyday life.
Have you given a thought to the amount of energy you waste on an everyday basis?
Do you really require the light to be switched on at your sink in the morning?
This in turn creates more issues due to lack of space in such landfill sites that cannot really accommodate non-biodegradable objects.
A time will soon arrive when there would really be no more space on earth to accommodate all the junk we add on an everyday basis!

Knowing the importance of recycling should be a must for everybody today.
Our every little activity would either help the environment or even destroy it gradually.
Hence being aware of our responsibilities is a step towards saving our planet. Recycling would also reduce the levels of pollution; we would thus have clean air to breathe.

Recycling products made of plastic, aluminum, cardboards and paper helps to conserve energy and does not add more to the already crowded landfill areas.
Recycling products and saving energy would subsequently help you turn earth into a greener planet.

Probably you would now be thinking about ways to recycle! If you haven’t already then you need to read about some tips on how to recycle in the previous post~

:D

Hw 2 recycle?

i talked about wad is recycling in the previous post...now,
its about how 2 recycle....

HOW 2 RECYCLE?

1)Determine local requirements:
Consult your local recycling jurisdiction to see if there are any special
requirements as to what materials are accepted, how they must be sorted and cleaned, and what bins must be used for depositing them for pick-up.

Reason:
Some areas may not accept all seven classes of resins. Look at the bottom of the plastic bottle to verify that it is a recyclable item. You should see a recycling symbol consisting of three arrows that form the three sides of a triangle.

2)Remove the cap:
remove the cap and throw it out with the garbage.

reason:
A plastic bottle is designed to withstand a lot of pressure when the cap is on. After all, the cap must keep the contents fresh and sealed from the outside air or contamination. When the seal is broken, of course outside air can leak into the bottle. However, a relatively tight seal is still maintained. If a bottle with a cap on it is recycled, more effort will be required to crush it and break it down. In addition, the cap is often made from a plastic resin that is different from the resin of the bottle. Thus, the cap becomes a source of contamination for the plastic resin that is being recycled.

3)Rinse and flatten:
This doesn't mean you must thoroughly wash the bottle since that requires time, energy, and quantities of water as well. You should first hold the bottle upside down over the sink to drain out any remaining liquids, assuming the bottle held soda or other water soluble, harmless, non-polluting substance. Fill the bottle approximately halfway with cold water. Swoosh the water around a while, even shake the bottle if you put the cap on.

Reason:
Although the recycling facility cleans the bottles by machine, the process is much easier if you quickly rinse your bottles before you place them in your recycling bin. You will be able to fit more bottles in your bin, and the recycling truck will be able to carry more bottles, too.

4)Continual of Step 3):
Then drain out the water, and throw away the cap. Don't try to wash out the bottle with liquid detergent. It will take many rinsings to remove all of the soap, if you are even able to do it. Also don't forget to flatten the plastic bottles by stepping on them.

Reason:
You will be able to fit more bottles in your bin, and the recycling truck will be able to carry more bottles, too.

5)Recycle:
This is the easy part!
Just toss the bottles in your curbside recycling bin. Use the EarthOdyssey™ pulling tool to pull the down to the edge of your property for roadside pickup.

Reason:
The EarthOdyssey™ pulling tool will make it very easy to accomplish a task that otherwise requires a fair amount of physical effort.

6)tats the end? :D
